Hi Friends! I’m Jill…

For over 15 years I’ve been coaching students to unlock their unique vocal sound, express themselves more fully, and sing freely. Singing should be joyful and I offer a safe, non-judgemental space to explore your sound and connect with your innate creativity.

At my studio in East Vancouver, I welcome students of all ages and levels, from beginners to professional singers and actors.

My Approach

My teaching approach is integrated: I apply my classical and contemporary background and extensive knowledge of the fundamentals of singing to help you connect with your body, mind and spirit. This whole-being approach has allowed my students to access their authentic voices, develop their vocal skills, and share their talents with the world.

My positive energy and enthusiasm for music and people has been described as ‘infectious!’ I combine my love of motivating people with the specific tools and exercises tailor-made for you and your musical journey.

I get to know YOU and what makes you unique and wonderful. And together we work towards achieving your goals and deepening our shared love of music.

My Background

Upon receiving my ARTC in Piano in 1999, and completing the Theatre Arts and Music Programs at MacEwan University in 2004 (specializing in Vocal Performance), I began teaching singing privately. As a former professional singer, I have a deep understanding of public performance – from proper vocal preparation to audience engagement and everything in between.

As a long time vocal coach with St. James Music Academy, a local non-profit organization, I’ve had the pleasure of leading choirs for hundreds of kids at all levels. I believe that all people should have access to musical education!
